About Nutrition Foundation of Bangladesh

A Centre of Excellence for Life-Cycle Nutrition Research, Training and Evidence-to-Policy Action

Nutrition Foundation of Bangladesh (NFB) started its activities in 2004 as a national nutrition-focused organization to advance nutrition knowledge, research capacity, professional training, and evidence-based action in Bangladesh.

Inspired by renowned international nutrition-focused organizations and foundations, Prof. Dr. S. K. Roy established NFB with the vision of creating a world-class learning, research and professional development center for Food and Nutrition students in Bangladesh.

NFB creates a platform where students, young researchers, graduates and nutrition professionals receive practical training, develop research proposals, conduct research, prepare publications, and gain exposure to evidence-based nutrition practice within Bangladesh.

The organization was formally registered on 29 October 2006 under The Societies Registration Act, 1860 with the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC), Government of Bangladesh.
